| 1 of three options i think, 1/ i dont turn her off. 2/ i get stuck in the scrubbest estate in the planet. 3/ it mysteriously fixes its self background info, its been playing up since i fitted it [ its the one that came off the origional engine that was in pinky, i replaced the broken one after sibbertoft and this one isnt much better] it started fine last night to go to jame's house, then to go to morrisons just kept on clicking so we had to bump start, while driving i turned off the engine several times and tryed it ... nothing so just dropped it back in gear, at morrisons i left it running with abbey sat in her, then nothing this morning nither fortunatly i live on a hill. the lucky winner gets to donate to our macmillan page .... www.justgiving.co.uk/teammonstar :face: |

No. He'd not possibly have an electrical problem. The wiring's all perfect. | |

| in the end, you'd better take it off, take the whole starter apart and CLEAN it. Problem with those things: they are electrical and placed low on the engine. Get wet and dirty every time you go off road. Seems electrical equipment doesn't like that Mostly it's only dirt, second best is the solenoid | |

| MMM, He could check the bearings, but i guess they are closed and not lubeble ???, (strange word, can't be correct) bendix could use some grease I suppose, It's a lateral moving part, but still only a very tiny bit. Maybe it's a good thing for his hands after the cleaning? They sure will dry out. | |

| i havn't yet taken it off, but it just doesnt make sense to me leave pinky alone for two days and she wont start [ as happened few days ago when i acidentally dropped the rear spring on the brake pipe cracking it ] but after driving forty miles [ 60 km aprox] it will start first time, just driving to the naaz [ indian ] which is about 2 miles [ 3 km ] it will start after about 4 or five clicks, all the earths are clean, the alternator is brand new. if i swap the battery which is 8 or more years old for the new one off of flo would that change things :?: or should i take off the starter and clean it, which means taking off the exaust sealed with gungumand exaust bandage which im not kean to take off, cheers kieran |

| There's one little thing that you may check, had it last year, there's the white thread going to the starter, renew the connector. maybe it solves your problem. In my case it left me with 2 starters | |
