Even got my engine overheated cause of that.

It's sometimes better to stand back from a situation to survey to whole scene, that way you don't just get the action, you get the whole ensemble.

What dates are we thinking of this year? I ask because I've been invited as a journalist to cover a tour to either Montenegro or Georgia in May by a company who advertise themselves as "the largest 4x4 tours company in the world", so obviously can't turn down that opportunity.

Sorry jaap we will be unable to attend this year.
Due to the govenment and petrol compaines stealing are money, in all the fuel hikes and taxes.
They realy don't need to, Saudie has said they can up thier supplies to meet the short fall, from Libya.

Anouther come back is everthing else going up as well, had a chat with Sylvia , and haveto agree with her, our govenment does not care about anybody who ernes less than £50,000. rant over.
if we were younger would be leaving this country.

Everybody with with any association to the Landyrally club is welcome off course

The plans for the get together are taking form now. Rest assure, it will be nice again. Maybe not challenging but amphibious it will be.
Off course food and beverage will be perfect again. Probably parking will be a bit more difficult, but campingplace is more this year.
I hope to give you a program soon. The basics will however be the same as last year. You're welcome on Friday, roadbook on Saterday,playground on Sunday, maybe combined with a route. Welcome to stay over till Monday at least. There will be some surprises.

The jeep is sold as of last week and we will be relocated in Dubai by the end of may

With a Land Cruiser on the shopping list we can probably do a video link from the Sand Dunes

Dubai??? Wow, news indeed! I gather then that Dubai is stable politically? If so, then its about the only Gulf or North african state that is.

A Land Cruiser eh, can think of a lot worse? Surely better than that Jeep thing of yours, all that wanted to do was go around in circles!

I know I wont get any support in here but I think you will find the Jeep had "run circles" around the land rovers all day

Everywhere is unstable at the moment, we live day to day here and try and bury our heads in the sand about things.... at least over there there is some sand to do it
