They aren't nice to people that don't introduce themselves?

| Can I be first to say thank you to everyone who joined in with the "Christmas" do this weekend. We had a lot of fun especially meeting everyone again, particularly meeting some new faces from Holland and Southampton!
I hope everyone else had as much fun as we did - I guess I will have to start digging the mud of Lenny sometime. Perhaps it will rain and then I can just clean it off the drive!!
I will put some of our pics on later.

| The Dutchies have just left - well, about 16:00. Three hour drive to the ferry in Hull and off they go. We actually manged to arise this morning and visit the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon as planned. I know them down there , had a chat about this and that, next thing they are presenting us with complimentary entry to all five of us .... saving a total of £55; thank you kindly! They too had a great time so asked me to thank everyone for the welcome. Likewise I want to thank everyone who helped organise the weekend, especially Kieran and James who I believe did the bulk of the organisation. Shame I had to withdraw Sunday with a bad back (pulled muscle or something whilst slipping on that claggy mud at the off-road site) and also to everyone who turned up. It was a fair ol' trot from both Aberdeen and Southampton, so fair play for making the effort. Next Landy Rally bash over in Holland in May. Can't wait! | |

| Well, Saturday evening and Sunday were fun. Missed the off-road course on Saturday, but the evening in the pub and the treasure hunt on Sunday were good fun!
Well done and thank you to Kieran, James and the Johnson clan for all their effort before and during the weekend (and for driving me back to the hotel on Sunday night). Thanks, too, to Paul/Intelmental1 for taking me along on the treasure hunt.

| It was nice to see all the teams and potential teams for and from Landy Rally pinky is nice and muddy, perhaps a bad idea to wear white trousers today Pictures will be uploaded into a Gallery on Free Spirit 4x4's Gallery page as when i return to Buxton to collect the camera cable The final total for Friday night is £200 for Macmillan cancer support Or well it would be but Paul kindly reminded me that i would donate £1 for everyone wearing a green shirt including me bringing the total up to £204 Today I spent 3 hours at the swan and salmon pub gave them a thanks card and a box of chocolates for their great service and food !!! on Saturday night, same heading to the Naaz. for those interested i am contemplating a similar weekend early - midsummer but not using a off-road site, doing one day of green lanes in Derbyshire camping at the waterloo inn and then heading through some notts green lanes Sunday to finish at a pub with a close by camp site see website soon for more info Cheers kieran |

| We would like to add our thanks to Kieran and his team for their well organised weekend. We had a good time and will look forward to perhaps coming to the camping weekend. It is good to be able to put faces to the names we see on the forum.
Who knows perhaps we can get some more of the Shires mob to make the trip up in the summer.

| Just finished work after coming in Holland at 9, this morning Also from us Dutchies (all 4) A big thank you to all people involved in organising this event. We really had great fun this weekend. Luckily nothing got broke.(Except my headlights don't work anymore now). Missed my challengecar on the playground. Was a terrific terrain. Very much enjoyed the greenlanes. What a marvallous roads you have overthere. Envy you Was first time my son did terrain and greenlaning on his own. Think he did quite well. Anyway he loved it. Kieran, I remembered wrong: thought I should wear orange. Too bad green i have a lot more of. | |

| Well, just thought the Dirties (and Team No Muckin' Abaht :clown: ), would add a big thanks for all the work that went into organising the weekend, and for the good company that went along with it. We particularly enjoyed the Jaffa Cakes!! (Thanks James). And it appears the duck eggs have gone missing. Have they gone the way of all LandyRally eggs, we wonder? Roll on May! | |

| It would be interesting to see how many seconds it would take on dry grass, bearing in mind that even dry grass retains enough moisture to make spinning/sliding easy.
You did well there at 33 seconds seeing as though you were driving on the equivalent of sheet ice!
As for the ground anchor, they are great bits of kit. The Aussies produce one which has a hinged spade, thus making on-boad storage even easier. I love 'em.
Two types if you're interested -
www.pullpal.com - the Yank version
and
www.x-eng.co.uk/X-Anchor.asp - the British
and
www.extreme4x4.co.uk/acatalog/GROUND_GRABBER.html - U.S. product sold here

| Jaap's had a hinge on it... not sure how the spade folded up but I guess he will be along later with the spec
If I get a winch I think that will be the next purchase after!!!
