It failed it's MoT on ......

hannaH's car just failed on "Excessively Pitted Brake Discs" ... yeah, they're nasty looking, but still work well enough to tear up tarmac if you hit the pedal hard!

(Yes, they are, and no, he doesn't charge for retest within 7 days)



So ... What's your vehicle failed its MoT for?



I'll start with:

Kawasaki GPZ500S
Front brake seized ... AT the MoT test centre. Had been riding bike every day to work, rode into test centre, took 3 people to push it out...

I once took my car in for its MOT and it suffered from having a blonde driver.

It ran out of petrol part way through the emisions test !!

the frontera failed today as there wasnt enough lights that worked...

and handbrake **making no effort **

i shall tell you at the end of this week what it fails on

Defender hand brake has to be the most common.

Probably seconded by a leaking inner hub oil seal contaminating the brakes.

As for what mine have failed for in the past:
1. Hand brake
2. Brake light (was actually a fuse) & split swivel oil seal
3. holes in chassis, covered up by waxoyl & mud (I didnt know honest!!)

Thankfully for the past 5 years or so they've all sailed through without fault...

track rod end " unservicable"
bend track road probley doesnt help,

rear fog light not working ( forgot to check it )
