New Event manager for LR`10

Like it says on the tin, we have a new Event Manager for LR`10 - Wayne Fisher. Those on the event this year will have already met him, those who wer not will have a chance of meeting up with him at various 4x4 shows next year. And get this - he's already started preparing his Discovery for next September's Land Rally! Keen or wot?

This is a direct consequence of the understaffing during this year's event where Officials had to withdraw at the eleventh hour due to work issues having to take priority. Work tends to spoil our fun ... it ain't fair!!!

As for former Event Manager Badger (LR`07 & `08) & his better half Dr Evil, as the economy picks up hopefully they'll be able join us again either as Officials or even as a team in their own right - we'll see.

This next Landy Rally sounds intriguing with
"Tom Macgoneagain" as Event Director
"Scary Wayne" as Event Manager
"Dangerous Dave" as Mechanical Support
"Firestarter Kieran" as Scout Vehicle

Captain Chaos would have to write the road book !!

Perhaps without being surrounded by the "Get Lost Crew" you may even go in the right direction for once? First time for everything?

And what's our excuse for ending up at the Windmill Farm then ? Oh yes Helen and I were following the road book - just weren't quite where the correct turning onto the Tarmac Road was ! The signpost was to the correct place

I dread to think what we'd be like next year without Keith from Team Taff doing the map reading coz until he showed us all his map reading skills and basically led our convoy last year for most of the last 5 days we were well and truly LOST - we'd probably still be driving about these forest tracks you set us!

All that said - we did break away from the convoy the last day and went to the Black Forest all on our lonesome while the rest headed straight to Calais - and then, some how, we managed to arrive at basically the same time as the rest of the convoy at Jean Luc's so we must have done something right on our own!!

First time for everything? - well you just never know!!
