Do you want it to look right, or look bigger/higher?

Do you actually want it to be higher (i.e. large wheels that will stress the transmission, reduce acceleration, foul the suspension, make the handling worse and make the speedo/odo read incorrectly) or just look higher (not sure how you'd manage that with tyres)?

Which is more important, looks (wide) or performance(skinny)?

How much on-road work, and at what speeds (noise and grip considerations)?

Check Google Images for vehicles with various tyres to see what they look like.

I use 205/80 (skinny) for offroad and snow, or 235/70 (normal) for on-road, on standard alloys. Both are standard sizes, so other than the grip and road noise, the performance and handling are pretty standard.

at the moment im running general grabbers at2 265/75/16 i want an off road tyre that is for looks we mostly are on road though but can stand the noise on road. i was looking at the extreme trackers they look beasty but don't know waht size would look good and fit correctly on my zu rims so i don't need to cut the arches etc. Smile

Photoshop's not VOSA approved - you'd fail the MoT.
