We would like to extend our thanks to all involved in this years landy rally. For all the help and guidance, which made it all the better.

When we started out on this adventure we really didn't know what to expect, but were wanted to have a greast holiday and some fun times. Which we had an abundance of last week.

With Big Kev being Disabled it was a little tricky for us which is one of the reasons we had 3 in our 90 so we could help with the long drives and lack of recovery time for Kev. but even with that still managed to do all the tasks, some better than others. But its the spirit of the event that counts, and at the end of the week managed to get 2nd place which suprised us all.

We met up with some great poeple and enjoyed the company and conversation on some cold evenings. helped out some that needed advice, and recieced some help when we needed it. All in all a top bunch of people.

Thanks.

We have been showing off out trophy to eveyone that we see, and so far not shut up talking about the trip and all the things we did.

Now all we have to do is finish collecting the sponsor money from people, get a cheque from the bank hopefully one of those really bigs ones and present it to the Midland Air Ambulance. And off course as we came second we have a bonus of a £300 cheque to help our fund raising.

We have loads of pictures of the Landy Rally, if anyone wants to see them they are all on my Facebook ( Mark Bunting, look for the driving instructor) or we can email them to you

Again thanks to all of you

Mighty glad to have you along for the ride. As you say, it's the 'spirit if the event' that counts, not the winning. You really did enter into everything that was thrown at you, plus a whole lot more besides!

What was that all about ... Xtreme Ironing???? Bristol Stags Affraid Bristol Stags Affraid Bristol Stags Affraid

Talking of winning, 50 points between winning and being runners-up was next to nothing when compared to the 3,000+ points on offer, so fair play to the three of you. Certainly kept us entertained. Thanks for the company!!! Bristol Stags Icon_cheers

P.S. You left without your prize money cheque, so if it's okay with you I'll post it in a few days along with a mass posting of post-rally stuff.

We left without ours as well. Bring our stuff down to Abingdon as it will save the postage.

That's because -

1. I hardly got involved with the points scoring/marking/judging.

2. In the past it's always been around the 3,000 mark, but the new fairer tasks and scoring system saw it climb somewhat.

3. Jon and myself didn't keep up as we were too busy heading off the Turin or some other non-scheduled stop. Just one of those years for making navigational bo-bo’s, but as we all know, the co-driver’s always right … even when he’s wrong! Will get it right next year CC - promise. Bristol Stags Icon_redface
