Next years Convoy for Heroes easter weekend 7-8 April.

To be held at Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire I see. I had a meeting with the owners of this venue back in 2001 about running the National 4x4 Show there. They were enthusiastic about the prospect, but I decided to carry on at Trentham Gardens in Staffordshire as Prestwold Hall had no facilities whatsoever - just a lot of land and an old airstrip - so running a major event there was never a realistic option.

I'm sure a lot has changed since then, doubtless it will be an excellent venue with the opportunity for 'low cost' camping and admission ... Gaydon was far too expensive for punters IMHO.

Following the Olympic Committee's refusal to allow another event to call itself Britain 2012 - despite the fact that they thuoght of it long before UK got awarded the tiddlywinks games -our solicitors (W.E.R. TheVoices OfOz) have advised us that henceforward we must call ourselves Convoy for Heroes Two Oh One Two."

Ha! Reckon I'll start a 4x4 event called "Tour of London 2012" - what else could you call it? Think if the publicity as the Olympic Committee try to ban it.
