| As at all the 4x4 Markets, there will be a joint Landy Rally / Bofa 4x4 Rally display at Tulleys Farm nr. Crawley, West Sussex RH10 4PE.
Who from down south can make it?

| WAGES!!!! Nearly choked on me cuppa! You do it for the love of it William, not for financial gain. Besides, never been paid for a 4x4 yet, so why change the habit of a lifetime? So you should Mel, right on your doorstep! See by your updated avatar you were playing in the snow last weekend. As it happens, I visited Tulleys Farm last Sunday. Up until Arundel it was fine, quite sunny in fact, then a dusting of the white stuff, but as I got up towards Crawley it turned into a bizzard! A good six inches at Tulleys, it was wonderful. On the way back, same thing - got to Arundel area and the snow suddenly disappeared and it was back to brilliant sunshine. Wish I had the camera with me as the country lanes were pure Christmas card scenes.

| An official announcement, it's self-explanatory:-
It is with regret the 4x4 MARKET event scheduled for 18th May at Tulley’s Farm nr. Crawley, West Sussex HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
Unfortunately this is due to a clash of dates with Sodbury Land Rover Sortout who recently have announced plans not only to move their date to 18th May 2008, but also their venue from Berkshire to Hampshire!
To quote the organisers: “A fledgling series of events such as 4x4 MARKET cannot hope to compete with the likes of Sodbury Land Rover Sortout, an event which has been going for well over a decade … especially as it’s now being held within the same region! We are sorry to disappoint everyone but it wouldn’t be fair on either the sellers or buyers to run an event compromised in such a manner, therefore the decision was made to cancel what otherwise would have been an great new event for the region”.
This decision does not affect other 4x4 MARKET events which will still take place as advertised at various venues across the country.

| Before what? Nah, don't answer that! No Mel, sorry mate - especially as I know you had something good planned. Probably be there but not in an official capacity if you know what I mean. However, there's nothing stopping you booking a pitch at Sodbury and promoting your charity as discussed previously. That said, you must phone Jim (the Old Sod) beforehand to let him know what the promotion will consist of, that way on the day he can't waltz up and 'shut you down' for not informing him pre-event. Within reason he's okay with charity promotions involving Land Rovers but there again he can be funny about anything different from the norm (i.e. piles of rusty junk). Yep, phone him. One other thing, best not mention my name as the last time we spoke I gave him a verbal lashing for not considering other dates in the calendar - in other words clashing with 4x4 market. Said he didn't know anything about the 4x4 Markets ... yeah right!!! - so I'm not expecting a Chistmas card from him this year. | |

| well if it makes you feel any better i would choose 4x4 market and so would mr ditch diver and marc a big jumble sale to us doesnt really seem worth travelling for but if it had an off-road course then ding dong its a winner i wouldn't make any money as a show organiser i would be organising them all at the same time as the big 'uns' being competitive as i am :bball: my worthless advice |

I am also depressed at no meeting you. I had even planned to wash before. Bill - I knew there was something that I was going to miss - and you offering to Tart your self up for me - can I take a rain check on your offer, I feel real special that you were going to wash just for me Tom, I will probably have a look at local events, not sure I want the hassle of a big even where the visitors are looking for that elusive 3 AF bolt for their project :!: :!: Currently looking at the local May Fair next Monday Melf

| Understandable as the main thing on their minds will be bargains, so local do's probably better.
Next weekend I'll be popping up to the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon, Warwickshire - anyone else likey to be there?
