| Add us to your list please! We've booked the 2pm from Dover on 12th September too - couldn't miss the opportunity for a convoy across the Channel. Wot's this campsite you mentioned for Friday night Tom? Do we need to book?? | |

| Camping Booked Friday to Friday. Put it this way, roll out of bed in the middle of the night and you'll end up on the start line - that's how close it is! | |

Go to the office on site while you're there. There's _loads_ of space at the site (I'd recommend driving right around to the quiet side away from the big noisy ships), so staying for an extra night shouldn't be an issue. Aerial photo of site here...

Aerial photo of site here... Cool picture Andy - I take it the big car park NW in the picture, above the camp site, is where we started from last year?!? Lu :bom:

Lu :bom: Yup! For the folks that weren't there: Campsite: The bright blocks are static caravans - people live on the camp site, the big green structure is the facilities block - unisex loos and showers, and a room full of baths (with no partitions, and glass doors/windows) - not for the shy, and the loos have no seats (quite common). The area of empty pitches were empty when we were there, too. We ended up camping in amongst the statics, because we didn't know the empty spot was there! To the left of the loo block, the odd shaped building is the site office, and the entrance is near that. There is a barrier, which is apparently closed for about 22 hours a day! There's a small parking spot outside the barrier - wait there for someone with a pass if there's nobody in the office, and tailgate. Pub: In the lower right corner of the car park, to the NW of the pic, pub! In line with that pub, there's another pub the other side of the main road, which has outside seating. The start line is near the first pub. The starting parade began last year with land rovers lined up on both sides of the road between the pub and the car park, for most of the length of the campsite. Checkin was at the bar at the main road end of the long thin pub building. If anyone's interested, I'll dig out the Google Maps links for the campsites, too.

| Just a quick question,
I rang and booked the ferry ages ago but I've not received anything 'official' through the post yet. Has anyone else who's booked received anything?
