| Mmmmm! Well he's not with me this weekend, so he can get into trouble on his own!
Me I'm being a good boy as it would have been all too easy to join Kieran at the Thames Valley 4x4 bash, but I've elected to stay indoors and knuckle down to work on the Landy Rally Road Book. They even phoned me at six ish to entice me down (free bee an' all - they know how to get to me) but I stuck to me guns and said no - official pat on the back for me methinks!
Hols go well? | |

| Yes we had a great holiday and found some fantastic roads climbing from sea level to 3-4000 feet in only a few miles lots of lovely hairpin bends and even a spiral in tunnel.
I'd like to say that us and the neighbours are having a quiet weekend but Keith seems to have picked up a hammer - poor Lenny !!
Anyway Tom it's not like you to refuse free beer - are you feeling alright or do we need to send for a doctor !
Sylvia
Ooops I borrowed Keith's pc !

| Interesting ... they offer you free beer to go and me free beer to stay at home !!! Hols great thanks some fantastic roads, my favourite was the road out of Lysebotn - in 7K you go from sea level to about 2500 feet via about 28 hairpin bends and a tunnel Lots of roads like that in the area - nothing better than to hear the Chevy V8 climbing hills !! | Nice one! Great photo, 28 hairpins? Not bad. Give or take a couple bends, that's be just over half as good as Stelvio Pass then with its 48 hairpins! V8's are the b***cks! | |

I plan to do a trip next year if all goes to plan - about a month long, up through Norway to Nordkapp and and then back down through Sweden... Would like to pop into Finland if possible whilst Im sooooo close, just to say I did so!

| Bill - the bottom bit is in a tunnel though it still spirals down to lose height. Jon - We'd love to go for a month and also go that far North. We have been as far as Bodo (can definately recommend that you use the RV17 instead of the E16) longer and more ferries/tunnels but much more scenic. Not seen much of Northern Finland but I think thats better than central which is relatively flat and full of trees. | |
