| Think you can drive on the wrong side of the road? Try this:
http://www.gettingaroundgermany.info/quiz.htm
Applies to both Germany AND many places in France.
(Yes, I posted this about a year ago, but WORTH A REFRESH!)

| HEEEELLLLLPPPP!!!! Daft thing is that on the Continent it is "Priority From the Right" - unless stated. Basically if there is a yellow diamond, you have priority. If there if a yellow diamond with a diagonal black line though it, the approaching traffic from your right have priority. GEDDIT????
No, me either! | |

| but it also depends on the road markings and other signs .... like the roundabouts ... if there's no roundabout sign on the entrance, but it looks and smells like a roundabout, you have to stop and let people on while you're already there......
Crazy. In France they started to get rid of the priority to the right system, because too many people got dead, so Germany decides to introduce it to ease congestion .....

| On Landy Rally 2007, we really upset folks by stopping to give way at T junctions, then upset completely different people by not letting them out of T junctions. | |

| I know it's daft. Generally now in France, "priority from the right" only appies in town, and still that's where the most accidents happen (albeit a gentle tap) whereas before it would happen on the open road at 50 mph when you are confonted by a local village idiot who would lurch in front of you from the right at 10mph when you are tramping along at 50 - 60mph. They of course were BIG accidents!
Absurb yes, but just be aware.
