Spotted this link in an email from SeaFrance:

http://www.seafrance.com/seafrance/opencms/uk/en/passenger/your_journey/driving_in_france.html

Probably stuff you're already taking - but thought it was useful.

These items are compulsory for Landy Rally entrants already as listed in the Rules & Regs page of www.landyrally.com, but I didn't know (a) you have to carry the waistcoasts IN the car rather than the boot (not that there's a boot in a 4x4) and (b) you have to physcially put on the waitcoast before stepping out of the vehicle.

Soddin’ bureaucracy again. Imagine a fat bloke trying to put on one of the flimsy florescent waistcoats in the driver’s seat before getting out of the motor? How ridiculous is that??? It's bad enough trying to don one of those things when you're out of the vehicle, never mind behind the wheel. BARMY!

It doesn't say you have to put your arms through the holes .... just be wearing an approved type. As a hat perhaps?

That website wrote:

driver must put on the jacket before exiting the broken-down vehicle on or off the road

Guess that includes campsites. Kieran should just wear his all the time Smile

Wonder if they make a fireproof version especially for Team Monstar? Razz That's something he does need to wear all the time!
