| I would echo that question - just looking at ordering my cash and wondering how much. I was thinking in the region of £250 - averages £25 per day for snacks and sundries.....what's everyone else doing?

| Last year we ran a bit short of cash and I found a cashpoint at the supermarket in Poitier which operated the same as the English ones do. | |

Whenever I put my visa debit card in a machine on the rally it switched to English, which was nice, considering it's now possible to top up phones, take out loans, buy insurance and remortgage your house at some cash machines... With my knowledge of written Spanish I might have accidentally selected Death with Cake, rather than Cash with Receipt...

| Hi there, what we did last year and what I do all the time when I go to Europe is have a few euros for when I first land and then get more cash via cash point and pay tolls and fuel with plastic. You may not get the best exchange but unless you change a whole lot into euros in one go you get caught with commission.
It work for us. Best of luck, wish I was coming with you.

| It is low at the mo, thus I'm waiting until the very last minute before departure. Of course it could get even worse, but I'm optimistic. more fool me!!! | |
