I have a write up on my site, that was also in TOR Sept 2008.....

Go to: http://www.teamtaff.co.uk then click on 'TeamTAFF Write Up' on the navigation bar on the left. If you want a 'Word' copy of it email me on tim@mac4x4challenge.co.uk and I can send it to you Smile

Good one Tony - any chance of sending me a copy when folk are done with it?

Hi Tim, how's it hanging mate? Fancy a little trip to Romania in May to deliver caravans (full of toys, etc.) to an orphanage, then some 'laning with the locals? May even sample the local brew, you never know!!! drunken

This of course is an open invitation to everyone, it's just that Tim hasn't visited the forum for a while so may not have heard about the run.

Ok. Neil's not in charge of the mag is he? He's a bit slow!!! Razz

BTW, whatever happened to his "I'm going to enter the IIb Fire Tender" promise? Not bothered of course, quite the opposite in fact as his days would have been 15+ hours long. Madness! Glad he saw the light.

No i think he still would enter it but i believe its not very well and he a bit pushed for cash to repair it. But dont underestimate Neil because if it was working he would do it. So lets not encourage him too much.

Fair enough Tony. Known Neil long enough to realise the more you say he can't do something, the stubborn ol' git will want to prove you wrong ... won't you Neil?

Seriously, and this isn't intended as reverse psychology, I’m sure your baby (the IIb) would with a little TLC (in other words hard cash) be up to the job as would yourself, but as you well know the Landy Rally route is a long old haul so why put the Fire Tender or you through the agony. Far better in a more modern machine more suited to the task. Besides, all the 130 crew cabs in the world couldn’t put out a campfire, let alone a real fire … yours could! Horses for courses …

WHAT!!! Whilst indulging myself with a Martini – shaken not stirred – I nearly choked on me olive! That Disco was about as reliable as the Michael Jackson Child Minding Agency - or Michael Barrymore’s Pool Cleaners whose motto is “With us around you’ll have no foreign bodies in your pool”.

I would say Keith your comment about Lenny was 'tongue-in-cheek’, but that’s another Barrymore reference. Best stop not I reckon. No

No, of course not, although I don't think he'll be offered a job as a lifeguard! Nasty piece of work - him not you. Laughing

Dave - A great write-up (the memories came flooding back!); and good to see more publicity for the Landy Rally.
