It is with a new government initiative as part of the proposal for the G20 summit that all SUVs / 4x4s are to be removed from britains roads in an effort to combat the ever increasing risk from global warming.

It is proposed that Tax wil rise to over £500 per vehicle per year by the year 2010 and by 2020 all vehicles within the category are to be scrapped.

Bloody government, the worlds gone mad!!Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

It couldn't happen without the government making themselves look really thick, as they're currently supporting Tata to keep Land Rover alive, and as Land Rover only build 4x4's, the initiative you mention would effectively close a company that they're trying hard to keep open scratch scratch scratch

And that's not counting the fact so many of them own daft big fancy cars that drink more dino-juice than most (European) 4x4's.

Doh! Okay, yer got me - good one. Mad

Thing is it was all very plausible, especially given all the claptrap that comes our way from the powers that be. Best that no politicians see this thread or it'll give 'em ideas. No

I did wonder why global warming would come up at a finance meeting, but completely forgot a) it was suspicious, and b) that the day before had been april 1st... Ho hum.
...
But under the rules of the game, you're supposed to remove or announce the hoax yourself by noon, else be the biggest fool of them all.
