The truth will out, besides, it's not a real off-roader without a few dents and scrapes!
Looking at the photo again, it does make me laugh when folk spend a fortune on big fat, high tyres and wonder why they get more stuck than before. Landy/RR/Disco tyres are obviously meant to climb high into the wheel wells (like in the photo) whereas unless you undertake some serious bodywork modification, fat tyres foul the wheel arches and grind to a halt or high ones stop turning as they get wedged at the top of the wheel well.
Then, wouldn’t you know it, along comes an old bog-standard leaf-sprung Series Land Rover and clears the very same section the flash tyre merchant has just been towed out of. Sometimes it's best to leave well alone!
