| Not good!
1. What's a 'drum brake'?
2. Why a radiator cap? Wot - Pinky overheating?
3. Don't tell me the drop arm ball joint has gone. If so what a pain to change. Tip: Don't bother trying yourself, this is a professional job. Dead easy with the right tool (basically a bench pressing tool) but a nightmare doing it yourself - just one of those things.
4 £25 ... and the rest! Guess you'll have to do overtime at the Tandorri this week K!!!

| that may pose as a problem tom, as they only want me to work at weekends and havnt spoken to me since last weekend i have ordered the kit for the joint and a new cap £13 not bad i spose, yeah pinky over heated three times on way home from manby i eventually realised that if i kept at 50 mph the temperature stayed cooler, interesting that i didnt over heat on way home from 4x4 market, billing is further away and more motoway so i had better fix it. now just need to learn how to do the difficult task of the joint, i have untill thursday plenty of time |

| Kieren, Check the rad - if its started overheating but will run at 50 I reckon most of the rad will have rotted away. It'll look sound from the front and also the bit at the back thats easy to see. Remove the cowling and fan & stick your head down into the engine bay and I suspect you'll see the problem.. Re-cored rad will be the fix. Either that or a head gasket but I doubt that will have gone cos you can still run at 50. Never seen a rad cap fail yet but its the first thing everyone replaces!!! Good look with the ball joint Tom's advice is right - give it to someone else to do! | |

| the good news is ive taken off the steering guard to find that the hole of the steering rack was loose, so just by tightening up the bolt that holds the drop arm on has sorted that ( note to self, dont 100% rely on drunken mans word for it ) the rad should in theory be fine as it was new less than a year ago, ill just give it a good wash i think should sort it, interesting, bits on land rovers dont break, they just come loose causeing them the break it makes sense to me time to cancel order from paddocks, paint bull bar and i should be ready for billing |

| Hi Keiran! Is there a flat on the end of the threaded bit on the damper? if so you can use an adjustable spanner on the end to hold it as you do it up mate!

yup, and the shocks - used an oil filter wrench to hold them - careful not to wreck em, though. nuts loose, or rubbers perished?

| both, the rubbers still there but appears smaller than its spost to be, so i figured that a temporary fix would be to just tighten the nut up more? i will try the flat end trick tomorrow night and let you know how i get on, i seem to be head deep in electrical wires, nightmare cheers kieran Whats that cooking over the grill? is it a monstar? |

| what a " shocking " day pinky's stopped setting on fire and started giving me shocks, i think im further away from being ready now than i was this morning, the good news andy is that its possible that the oil leak is from that black circular filter thingy on side of engine which has been supect before other wise im officially screwed bill, the relay started working just after our convo sation strange |
