Found some really interesting Euro laws and stuff, all about what you must carry in each country. study

Probably on the main site that i just didn't read, but in case others didn't see either... Embarassed

here are the basics, not all for each country, but for the selection we're doing,

MUST carry First Aid Kit, Spare bulbs, Fire Extingusher, High Visibilty Waist coat, Warning Triange, Beam deflectors, GB sticker if not on Number plate. Original documents (which we know already to start event!)
Penalties are usually on the spot fines, or impound until item is purchased!

With some countries it's Law if vehicle is registered there, and local police may treat you as a local and fine you if you don't have!!!!!! confused

Radar Detectors are prohibited (as if Landys go fast enough to need them!!) Cool

If in doubt, check here - http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/touring_tips/AA_compulsory_equipment_april2007.doc

Hello,

Yes to all of that;

and after spending 3yrs in Spain and seeing many motorists being pulled by the Guardia Civil, who from personal experence, are not to be argued with.

You'll need 2 triangles for any trip into Spain, have seen personally roadblocks near stores, Guardia Civil check vehicle, anything missing, impound vehicle there and then and tell to go and buy whats missing according to their traffic laws. They particulary like GB plated vehicles on the Costa Del Sol, to near Gib.

Thankfully, I rented a vehicle all the time there, so when stopped, just handed over the rental details, and the company got the 90Euro fine!

Anyone else know anymore, please tell! Thank You!

Forewarned is forearmed!

As part of the rally documentation I shall be issuing a requirements/do's & dont's type list in due course. When this is issued, if you spot anything missing, let me know for an updated version nearer departure date. Ta.
