| Mmmm, let me see ... V8 / Tdi? I really have no idea. I can tell you the advantages and disadvantages of a Cheery Bomb or similar on a V8, but on a diesel, not a chance.
Is there any advantage, actually I'd like to know myself.

| ive heard it gives a bit more power a tad bit faster like thats going to help in a landy lol, also makes it sound a bit more beastly and i think fuel consumption is also better even though you probably wouldnt notice it. | |

| Mostly, it'll be louder. Turbo will get up to speed a little faster as it can spit the exhaust gas out a bit faster, and there will be a small increase in total power, but only a small one, and only near full power.
Unfortunately turbo diesels don't behave the same as NA petrol engines when it comes to exhausts. Petrol engines can benefit considerably from a bigger, straighter or less baffled pipe, but should really have the fuel delivery tuned (ECU map or carb jetting) to match the intake and exhaust together.
With the Tdi's, much of the energy left in the exhaust gas is absorbed by the turbine bolted to the manifold, which also does strange things to the flow rates and accoustics of the pipe, so changes farther along the pipe have a much lesser effect.

| well worth the whole day the rubbers had torn from my old exhaust which hold the exhaust up so popped down to local landy dealers and got brand new set and then we had to fit them which was a complete b*stard, then we had trouble getting the rubbers on the exhaust and the main chassis, (1 hour later) we done it and can defiantly hear/ tell the difference so well worth it cheers guys. | |

| On the end of the brackets that support your rubbers, there's a little piece of metal holding the rubber in it's place. You can easily bend it, remove the rubber, place a new one and bend it back. Not necessary anymore but info for next time. Nevertheless I am still curious what took you so long. hadn't any troubles myself. Exept making the exhaust fit. cause my chassis is stretched nothing originally fits | |
