I still don't know exactly: what is the basic idea of the Landyshows.
I believe there are always traders, sometimes out of the trunk or always?
Always off road driving?
But what is the showelement?

you mean the likes of billing?
theres a central arena with a few random things going on, there are masses of traders 150+ ( not at all shows though )
alot of new product traders also alot of auto jumble traders ( out of trunk )

a very basic off-road course also there

they arn't cheap but in my opinion worth the money!
the cheaper shows have no traders / visitors, this is what i have found this year

hope that helps!!

Shows are a good way of meeting up with old friends and making new aquaintances - from all over the country. Especially good for saying hello to new Landy Rally teams for the first time, or for chatting to those thinking of joining in the fun. Also my way of distributing some beers/wine and making folk feel welcome.

An extension of my house or whatever abode I happen to be residing in at the time, anyone that enters my caravan, marquee or trade stand area gets handed a tea/coffee/beer/wine, that's the way I am.

Shows are great, if a little expensive for what they are. Good excuse for a party though. cheers

Dunno about that Sylvia, could always marry the two and try "Chocolate Red Wine Soup with Strawberries". Easy ...

Ingredients [ Metric ]

1/2 c Sugar
1 c Cabernet Sauvignon; Pinot or other dry red wine
1 tb Vanilla extract
1 pt Strawberries; hulled, and thinly sliced lengthwise
2 oz Bittersweet chocolate
6 large strawberries stemmed for garnish

Preparation -

Mix the sugar with the red wine and vanilla in a large bowl. Add the strawberries. Marinate for 2 hours at room temperature. Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler above gently simmering water and stir until smooth. Strain the strawberry mixture, reserving the strawberries. Heat the marinating liquid in a medium saucepan to the same temperature as the chocolate. Whisk several tablespoons of the marinating liquid into the chocolate and stir until smooth, then gradually whisk in the remaining liquid. Strain back into the bowl through a fine sieve. Cool to room temperature. Add the reserved strawberries. Refrigerate until well chilled, for about 4 to 6 hours. To serve, ladle the soup into 4 soup plates. Garnish each with a long-stemmed strawberry. This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.

Mmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!! cheers

Sounds good but as Yoda doesn't drink and we don't have much refrigeration at shows .

But then again would you be able to leave it for 4 - 6 hours to chill ??
