it was nice to see inside the bling mobile and see what comfort and style in a land rover is all about,

got home safe and well using the horn plenty of times with VW campers Laughing they have some cool horns.

Really good meeting you all at Billing - new and old friends alike.

Just got back (well, late-evening Monday night) so food and a good scrub down were the priority, then the forum - most unusual for me.

Won't list all of you as the list is growing longer every day, but the tremendous response makes me even determined to start the "Landy Rally Club" - more news of that anon.

One special mention though as I don't think any of us have seen him since September 2007 - Mark of Team Landrovers and Wine. Really good to see you again mate, and glad the wine tours have gone well. Nice Landy you have now. Yes the Series III was great fun, but the expedition-prepared 110 has to be a good move for the miles you cover. Besides, the coils can take more bottles than leaf springs!

Disappointed we never saw BJ (apparently he was on the Tomb Raider club stand but can't say I ever found it - where were you hiding???) and poor ol' Andybloke who despite all the text messages he sent me threatening to turn up, in the end had to work. Never mind Andy, we'll all meet soon 'cause as Lady V points has pointed out - it's only 6 WEEKS TO GO!!! Arghhhhhh!!!! affraid affraid affraid

Hold on, surely it must be longer? It is, more like just under 8 weeks. Strange calendar you have there V!

Anyway enough waffle, I'm off to me nice comfy bed. Nite all. Wink

He's in Italy - a bunch of the Tomb Raider owners went off on a mountain driving and camping trip on Thursday.

A sinister black one of course. That'll look good atop a Tombraider.

Certainly would explain why 'the felt hat' wasn't around. Shame he doesn't still have the Google Earth thingy still operating on Lara Live, could follow progress.

Confused - I am - especially as coincidentally it really is 12.30 now yet the forum says it's 11.30!

Good to meet you V. Never did find the Protrax stand like I promised myself. Was the Cobley around? BTW, did you ever see the Pratrax stickers that some wag had made when Vince first set up Protrax? Made us titter at the time.

i was speaking to a tombraider man who was telling me about BJ's trip to the alps, and interestingly if you get LRM and look at page 209 theres a familiar face / landy and lots of mentions of the man himself, congrats BJ

Likewise - about putting faces to names and admiring the Blingmobile. Much as I like to see motors caked in mud, have to admit it is rather pretty!

Who'd you talk to?

When I saw him last week (to discuss the wiring, obviously), he mentioned being mentioned in 3 different articles in that mag... The club Italy trip thing, the ex-pat Tomb Raider V8, and "um, something else"....
