Well, we've gone and done it. Signed up for our first LandyRally!! Derek (nickname Jonah, because of the number of times he's passengered in CCV roll-overs) has been off-roading (setting out trials and winching) almost once a month with our local club for about 15 years now. Rhoda (nickname Off-Rhoda coined by one of the club members children when he was about 5 and it just stuck) doesn't drive much, but is a pretty good navigator. We've done some greenlaning in the Auvergne, France (where we lost a wheel off the Frontera we had at the time!). And lots of greenlaning in England.
We own a blue 90, nicknamed DINGO because of it's reg no. Equipped with a 'hydrochloric' winch, with a synthetic rope, an amber flashing light, and a brilliant alarm, which you'll love if Derek forgets to turn it off before opening the door, especially on an early morning start.
We haven't been 'proper' camping for about 30 years, as we prefer the caravan for our bit of outdoor life. We are supporting a Charity local to our home village called Felsted Aid for Deprived Children.
We are really looking forward to this event, and wondering if we are the oldest team in it - total 116 years? Think this is going to be fun!

Although we did speak via email earlier today, still have to say a big forum welcome, a welcome which has become a standard response from several of the regulars ... welcome to the funny farm!

Combined age eh? As it happens I did notice that on your entry form - any takers?

One thing's for sure, it will be fun, like-minded folk make it so!

I Wonder if it makes a difference if you add the age of the vehicle?

theres a fair way to beat the Road Runners with a combined age of 4793 years old between the pair (good job there on holiday at the minute or im sleeping in the garden!!!)

Well if we were to add age of bertha 134 alas Bertha has gone to resting place in the sky
But Dixies age is only 2 making 118

Hi we are new to this as well.

Thre are 3 of us and a combined age including the landy is 125

But I feel like that on my own at the moment

Depends on whether my sons girlfriend's knee recovers in time to pass her driving test

If they can go their combined age including the Frontera will be 56.

Ours however will be 128

Thats all Lenny and Mr DD's fault cos I'm still 21 of course !
