Welcome Kieran. A pioneer indeed, as you are the first team to make use of the forum.

Like anything new folk seem to be a little slow joining in, but doubtless when they find how just easy it is to register and log on, you'll be the first of many. Good to hear from you!

have you herd the automatic song and monster?
"whats that coming over the hill"
thats the team theme tune
and because we are sponsering the wish upon a star charity so we changed the monster to monstar

When did that song come out ... 60's, 70's or 80's? Anything more recent I haven't a clue!

Got a link or something that I can download, I hear you can do that sort of thing nowadays? If not, you could always send me an 8-track (if you don't know what this is, ask your mum/dad) or a cassette with the song on. Ta!

Now I geddit -

What's that coming over the hill, is it a monster? … no, it’s a Monstar!

Mmmmmmm! A song about fried brains … nice! Mr Kieran Senior, are you seriously expecting that son of yours to navigate you and your good lady around Europe? And even more important, can you cope with his music at full volume for seven days? My recommendation is to try http://www.lawson-his.co.uk/scripts/products.php?cat=Ear+Plugs

Teenagers, don’t you just love ‘em?

While you're right to think that Kierans brain has been fried I would like to make it clear that whatever caused it was an accident, not inherited from me and in no way related to the allegations of me dropping him on his head when he was a baby. By the way what makes you think I have any udea what an 8 track is ? I'll ask his mum ..... :farao:

Well Keith, my 'kids' might have 10 years on your little 'monster', but they too are still as daft as a pair of brushes. Must have been a lot of baby-dropping in 80's and 90's ... allegedly!

Okay, will keep an eye out for one.

Ever so glad you got the t-shirt, bet you never thought it would arrive. Better late than never? You complete the course (even walking) and there's another £15 coming from me.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with the Marathon young matey, just pace yourself and you'll be fine. Think of the rally, and just let the miles fly by!

Just remember if you need help it's not a bad thing, sure there will be first aid etc, so treatment early for blisters, rubbing etc, and you'll be able to carry on going. Don't ignore stuff, and remember vasaline if you need it!!

Good luck mate, we'll think of you (Whilst tucked up in bed having a lie in!!) Sleep

Message received from George McLaren-Thomson out in Germany (Kaya’s former Scottish co-driver) George is still Scottish BTW, it’s the co-driver bit he can no longer do! Smile

As I haven't got my private notebook with me I don’t have my login to the Landy Rally forum, so cannot get in touch with Kieran:

I had asked him a few weeks ago on the status of international drivers license and insurance coverage. Provided he has both of these he IS able and permitted to drive in France, allthough it does differ slightly from department to department (region to region) Pls. let him know, thanks.

Heeeeee Haaaaaa!!!!!! cheers cheers cheers
