THE MORE THE BETTER

Grrrr. I don't believe it .... For the last 2 weeks the hotel has been £25 per night. Last night when I checked, it was £25.... Now I've raised £50 and it's gone back to £29 per night!

I'm noticing that type of thing more and more now. I went to the Lake District by train a few weeks ago. Have forgotten already exactly how much it was, but let's say it was £40. Went back and had another look a exactly the same online ticket site an hour later, it had jumped to near £50. Left it until the next day, it was back at £40. What's that all about?

Same thing happened when I was looking at plane tickets for a friend a while back, only the difference in one hour as it jumped and dropped again was over £100. There's a fiddle going on somewhere methinks.

Amazon do the same ... if there's suddenly more interest in an item, the price goes up - hence their Best Sellers list isn't always the cheapest place to buy things!

I never realised that, I'll be a bit LOT more careful in the future.

Booked the hotel today, rooms now up to 29 pounds.
Booked the ferry too. We've decided to travel with comfort. Nightboat Rotterdam-Hull and back
We will arrive Friday around 8.00 am in Hull.
It would be nice to know what time we are aspected where :?:

Very strange btw; booking through A-ferry was 180 euro more expensive as booking directly with P&O. Retour is now only 278 euro. Cheaper as Hook of Holland-Harwich last time.
If you consider the lesser use of fuel instead of using Calais Dover It is worth it

And as you say, more comfortable than the Dutch Barge.
No problem staying Sunday night, although we may regret that decision on Monday morning. Wonder why?

And that is exactly the reason to use the nightboat on the way back again. Distances Hull/Dover doesn't differ so much

Is the usual menu available, too, as unless it includes beers £17 is a bit steep?
