| If you´re going to have a conference, maybe you should count Sweden in and let me be a part of it... :bball: ...or is it to far north.... | |

| Hi CJ, you're most welcome mate - whether it be for a conference or joining us. Whereabouts are you based? And the other thing I've been trying to remember, what was the name of the off-road show that used to be held in Sweden up until about four years ago. It was held on military land, a tank-training facility of what I recall. It was fantastic, so much fun with those mad Swedes!!! | |

| Hi Tom, We´re living in Stockholm-area and after your post on our LR-forum I showed The Wife your homepage and she said at once - Let´s go! So now we are planning to come to Landy Rally 2011... Maybe you should post something on www.4x4oas.se as well, lots of people with similar interest in there... (By the way, I´d like a sweatshirt and a couple of stickers, but I don´t like sending checks all a cross europe, is there a "better way.... :?: ) | |

| That's great news, the pair of you will love it! Like-minded people doing what we do best ... having fun! Getting more international by the minute as we already have the Dutch on board. Would be good to have more nationalities, makes it more interesting. - CJ wrote:

There sure is. We'll sort this out in due course. We now have more of a range of clothing - sweatshirt, hoodie, zipped hoddie, fleece. I will get the 'clothing guy' to PM you. I will also try the Offroad & Adventure Society website you suggested. I have to say I have not heard of that forum, so the response will be interesting. Thanks!

@ Tom, don't you have an Austrian already too? Otherwise mail the guy directly, he was very interested when we spoke him last year.

| Are you talking about Sebastian Jaap, the guy who met us at the campsite? Doubt it, he's over in New Zealand for a while. Marc - think you're going to lose the race to get you Fronty on the start line first, as I've just heard there will be a dual Frontera/Defender 110 team booking up in the New Year. | |

| The last we heard from Sebastian was that he'd arrived in New Zealand was planning to spend 8 -12 weeks there and then go to Australia for 8 weeks or so. The plan was then to come home ! | |

[/quote] Hi That will be me then, preparation work on the Frontera is coming long slowly but there is 9 month to go. Hopefully with a tail wind we should finish anyway with strong towing points my mates 110 should be able to tow me home, ssssh!! don't tell him. The website is now up and running and we are waiting for our registered charity number to be issued, check out www.wideformat4x4.webs.com I am already looking forward to standing on the start line next September and hopefully nine days later standing on the finishing line

| Hiya - welcome to the funny farm. Reckon you will be first at this rate. Here, why don't you introduce your team within the Teams & Crews category, that way we can really take the Mick for driving a Frontera. Don't think you're an exception though, I would do the same for owners of Jeeps, Toyotas, Daihatsus, Nissans ... Nah seriously, introduce your team in there with a post, that way you'll have a section that sponsors and friends can readily find just by you passing one link. From there they can use that as a base to look at the rest of the forum - makes life simple. | |

| Hi, Welcome and good Luck with your fundraising. Just looked on your website - Quote :
- In November of 2010 I acquired a 3 door Vauxhall Frontera Sport 20i.
So far I have removed the damp smelly rear carpet's and taken out the back seats and seat belts. I have managed to source a CB radio 2 newer front seats in better condition that the originals a spare wheel and some hard wearing padded seat covers. Glad to see you are getting the priorities right first ! Comfort and being sociable (or being able to call for help) Get the comfort bit right as 3000 miles is a long time to be sat in an uncomfortable vehicle. We did Landy Rally in 2007 in my son's 90 with 4 adults squashed in it ! Now we have our own Discovery....... The Frontera has been very useful this week in getting around in the snow. It had to rescue Amanda from work one night as the weather was really bad. Plus it transported some of our staff into work when cars failed. Anyway hope to meet up with you some time at one of the shows.

| Hey, Dan the Man has surfaced again! Wrong analogy I know as you're not in the Submarine Service, but a navy link nonetheless. How's things mate, still keeping our shoreline safe or have you moved on again? Yep, best policy not stating here and now that you'll be entering Landy Rally 2011 as obviously that'll be the kiss of death, so you're right to wait and see what develops. Really hope for your sake you can though as you've been itching to take part for how long ... over two years now? Fingers crossed! | |

| Hello! I'm back for Christmas before being leaving for Plymouth in the new year.
I've left home waters in capable hands and I'm probably off to look after some other bugger's shores come next summer! I'm soon to be the Communications Officer of HMS Somerset, a Type 23 frigate and a huge step up from the Patrol boat squadron I've been in for the last 2 years! Who knows where either me or my lovely teammate Katie (also Navy) will be come September! but yes, if we are available Nessie may make an appearance and I may be able to convince her ladyship to come to one or two of the shows this summer!

| Hi Folks we will be coming to the christmas bash in January to meet everyone. Then should have enough money to get the booking in for the rally.
We will be raising money for a care home charity and possibly a school
Done one or two expedition trips in the past so looking forward to the challenges of the rally.
