| Here you go kiddies, I’ve been organising again … and what is more you’ll be delighted to hear I won’t be issuing Road Books!!! You’ll find that similar to last year I’ve chosen a location that is central to the country - sorry Bling up there in Bonnie Scotland, I’m afraid I had to go with the majority again - so hopefully a lot of you will be able to make it. Of what I recall (not that I remember much at all about the last Christmas bash … hic! ) we had about 30 people attend the Christmas dinner last year, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we had 40 - 50 this time around. Whatever, it'll be a hoot with only half a dozen! Join us for any or all of the weekend - any past or future Landyralliers are most welcome Saturday 19th December 2009. 10.00 – 16.00Off-road playday at Sibbertoft 4x4 Centre, Welford Road, Sibbertoft, near husbands Bosworth, Leicestershire LE16 9UJ - 6 miles east of junction 20, M1. Terrain to suit everybody, easy to extreme. £20 play all day regardless of number of passengers. Available at additional cost – quads, clay shooting (I will find out costs of these and post within this thread ASAP). http://www.avalancheadventure.co.uk 18.00 for 18.30 (although more than likely we will begin slipping into the bar from 17.00)Christmas meal at The Elms pub/restaurant, St John's Business Park, Lutterworth, Leicestershire LE17 4HB. Pay for your own on the night (reasonable prices as it happens), a menu can be found at http://www.marstonstaverns.co.uk/Home/PlacestoEatandDrink/OurPubs/Elms As it also just happens to be Tom Mc’s birthday, the ‘task’ of each person attending will be to present me an appropriate gift bought from a £1 shop! For my part I will have a Christmas pressie wrapped and waiting for every person who attends. To round off the evening, in the pub after the meal there will be a Landy Rally Pub Quiz with loads of prizes!!! Sunday 20th December 2009. 10.00 – 16.00Greenlaning in the Leicestershire area, with of course a traditional Sunday lunch at the local pub. No cost involved apart from buying your own lunch. … and the best bit. The Elms is located next to a Travelodge, whose rooms booked in advance cost just £19.00! For booking click on http://www.travelodge.co.uk/saver_rooms then click the specific date button, then type 19/12/2009 in the date box, then type CV12 0AS in the postcode box, then under Sat 19th for the Lutterworth Travellodge click on the £19 box, then click on Book now, then pay in the usual manner. Simple! BOOK YOUR OWN ROOMS A.S.A.P. as rooms so near to Christmas will quickly become unavailable. That’s it, whose up for it? I need to know numbers for the each of the activities, so please answer as follows:-Off-road playday at Sibbertoft (Sat):Vehicle owner’s name ………………………… Make of vehicle ………………………………. Christmas meal (Sat evening): Each person’s name ………………………… Greenlaning (Sun):Vehicle owner’s name ………………………… Make of vehicle ………………………………. | |

| Hi, booked the travelLodge just a few minutes ago. Unbelievable, but after some struggles with the cardpayment, I succeeded. However they muist have heard of a great event, cause the 19 pounds rooms did't exist anymore. 3 Nights: 98 pounds. But what a breakfast they offer: even worse than continental. Glad I was warned before in yhis thread. How do you all do this in England: is there a better place to get breakfast around there? | |
